Sterling Golf Management, Inc. presently leases and operates golf courses in New England. Our main objective is to be the premier golf course management company in the area, providing customer satisfaction and private country club-like conditions, which are the cornerstones of Sterling Golf's philosophy.

Kevin F. Osgood, as President, has over twenty-five years of experience in golf course operations. He is Past-President of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of New England and has been on the MGA Board of Directors, as well as the Francis Ouimet Scholarship Fund.  He is now a director on the board of the New England Golf Course Owner's Association.

Sterling Golf Management is very proud of their well-deserved reputation for providing sound management practices and nicely-conditioned golf courses.  The company manages Newton Commonwealth Golf Course, Norwood Country Club, Chelmsford Country Club and the Shattuck Golf Club in Jaffrey, New Hampshire.

And, from 1999 to 2004, Sterling Golf operated the Franklin Park Golf Course until the Fund for Boston Parks and Recreation decided to take over the management themselves, keeping our Superintendent and Mechanic on board to continue their professional maintenance of the course. A special "THANK YOU" to all the people who wrote letters and e-mails expressing their dismay that Sterling Golf was no longer in charge of the operations at Franklin Park, the Jewel in Olmsted's Emerald Necklace.

The Sassamon Trace Golf Course in Natick, which was designed by Cornish, Silva and Mungeam and opened to rave reviews on September first of 2001, was also operated by Sterling Golf from the beginning grow-in period until the end of 2003 and SGM continues to maintain the course. The Fore Kicks Golf Club, a new par 3, 9-hole course in Norfolk, which is lighted for evening play, has been maintained by Sterling Golf since its inception in 2002. (Click here to visit Fore Kicks.) The Brookline Golf Club at Putterham was also maintained by Sterling Golf from 2000 until March of 2005 when the town took the operation in house, once again keeping our experienced Superintendent who had done such a great job taking care of their course.

The Shattuck Golf Club, located at the foot of Mount Monadnock in the Southern New Hampshire town of Jaffrey has been undergoing a program of course conditioning and other improvements to bring the course back into great shape and make it more "user friendly". Our maintenance operators have worked diligently and much progress has been made. The clubhouse has an excellent line of pro shop merchandise for sale, and food and beverages are available in the snack bar and lounge, the Mountain View Grille. Ongoing improvements are being planned to assure a pleasant golfing experience for everyone! Watch our progress as this course comes back to the front of the pack!

The managers of Sterling Golf Management are highly qualified with strong backgrounds in Pro Shop management, grounds maintenance and food service. Emphasis is placed on catering to the needs of the golfer with pleasant and courteous professionalism. All of our Golf Professionals are members of the PGA of America and our Superintendents are members of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America.

Every facility under our management is closely supervised to ensure complete customer satisfaction, whether it's in the Pro Shop, on the golf course or in the function hall. Each of our on-site managers has been trained to adhere to our policies, and our course superintendents have the proper education from accredited institutions to assist them in maintaining the grounds up to our high standards.
